We are looking forward to debuting at UNTITLED, ART at Pier 35 in San Francisco from January 17 to 19, 2020. Drop by the CE booth in the community partner area near the main entrance of the fair to explore a curated selection of bold original art by artists with developmental disabilities that embodies the spirit of our organization.

For CE’s debut at UNTITLED, ART, the booth exhibition will feature a diverse collection of artwork with an emphasis on two core CE art-making programs: fiber art and ceramics. The subject matter of the exhibition focuses on bodies and persona, relating an important conceptual approach for Creativity Explored artists: the self and the other. The booth will also include a selection of unframed work by a host of CE artists.

On Saturday, January 18, we will host a special workshop with local artist Ana Teresa Fernández, with whom CE artists are collaborating for our Of Here From There project. The workshop, Is Your Creativity Explored?, takes place from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm near the Creativity Explored booth. Approaching the practice of sewing and embroidery as a traditional method of creative expression, attendees will work alongside Ana Teresa Fernández and learn how to “draw and write with thread.” Join us to create original fiber art and take home your project and this meditative and family-friendly practice. Bring a cloth accessory or item of clothing to adorn or use the materials provided. All ages and abilities are welcome.
