    • June 30 - July 11th (no camp on July 4th)

    • July 14th - 25th

  • No. Camp Imaginate accepts all youth interested in art, no experience required!

  • Camp Imaginate aims to be highly accessible and accommodating for all of its campers, but there are certain needs we’re unable to support. Camp Imaginate is unable to provide toileting support, help in administering medicine, continuous language interpretation for deaf and non-English speakers, extended 1:1 or 1:2 support, and accommodations for behavior that poses a risk to themselves or others. If there are special requests or concerns we should be especially aware of, please email eleanorschiffler@gmail.com

  • Campers are encouraged to come up with goals and projects that motivate them to create. Teachers will demonstrate different tools, techniques, and art supplies, and encourage campers to grow their creativity! On top of the projects imagined by campers, projects include: sewing, printmaking, felting, painting, found object sculpture, finger knitting and so much more!

  • A camp day starts at 8:30am and ends at 3:00pm from Mon-Fri. After the group warms up, we start a focus area session by introducing campers to a new material or art form. Artists can follow along or start their own projects. After two hours, we take a half-hour snack break and spend the next hour wrapping up projects. We spend an hour taking lunch and an outdoors/movement break. Another hour and a half is spent on our art projects, then we clean, stretch, and reflect until pickup time.

  • Just your creativity! We provide all sorts of art supplies to our campers

  • A bag/backpack with water and lunch. A hat/sunscreen is optional, but good to have on our outside breaks and trips. Wear clothes that can get messy, since some art materials can stain! Also, feel free to pack a favorite personal support item, such as a fidget toy, extra personal supplies, or anything else that helps them feel comfortable and supported. Please pack support items as needed.

  • Valuable items, electronics, and art supplies. Creativity Explored cannot take responsibility for lost personal items.

  • Artists are offered lots of guidance throughout the day, focus demos on specific materials, then are offered a choice-based curriculum, and are encouraged to form their projects and goals. Teachers and support staff help each camper to come up with projects that excite them.

  • Health, Safety and Liability Forms: We need some health info and emergency contact details from you before camp kicks off. We'll send these forms via email over the next few weeks. We’ll also provide a questionnaire to gauge the support needs of your camper. In the meantime, please reach out to camp@creativityexplored.org if you have any questions, or to learn if Camp Imaginate might be a good fit for your camper.
