Samedi Djeimguero is a fashion icon at Creativity Explored, describing his style as "sunny." His artwork reflects his affinity for bright colors.
Djeimguero most often works with paint, creating vibrant abstract artworks. Fluent in Sango, French, English, and Cantonese, he appreciates opportunities to talk with visitors about his artwork, saying, "I like it when people see my painting work and say, 'You're pretty good!' That makes me feel happy. Very, very good."
Djeimguero’s subject matter varies dramatically from repeated geometric and concentric forms and faces, the sun, and his colorful horizons.
Djeimguero’s practice is defined by color. His sublime color stories are typically large in scale and immersive. Each layer of the horizon is deep and richly textured. The artist creates these abstract landscapes using an intensely manual application of contrasting vibrant oil pastel, sometimes even climbing onto the table to rigorously blend or apply pastel with his hands.
