Aileen Louie wearing one of her original headpiece designs

In celebration of Fabulate!, our fashion exhibition, Creativity Explored is hosting a family-friendly public workshop on Saturday, October 13, from 1:30pm to 4:30pm at our Sixteenth Street studio and gallery.

Get inspired by the artwork and garments in Fabulate! then design and construct your very own fascinator or headpiece, just in time for Halloween costume-planning. Whether your new to costuming or a master milliner, you’ll get the chance to explore your creativity surrounded by incredible art!

Aileen Louie, artist, crafter, and founder of Feather to Fire custom headdresses will provide examples and useful tips for creating your own custom headpiece.

We will provide a headband, some craft supplies, and glue to begin building your piece. Attendees are encouraged to bring extra materials to use or share.

Cost: $10 suggested donation
Tickets: RSVP to guarantee your spot via Eventbrite.
Drop-ins welcome as space allows. (25 attendees maximum)
