For Kevin Cordoba, artmaking is a ritual that keeps him relaxed and focused. Cordoba’s gestural paintings and drawings on paper are simple, yet dramatic.
Always willing to try new things, Cordoba likes to choose his own materials and colors, often experimenting with different colors, textures, and gestures. Some of his paintings are subtle with repeating thick watercolor strokes in various colors on white paper while others combine different mediums, colors, lines, dots, brush marks, with paint and colored pencil.
Described as “VERY amorous” by his teaching artists, Cordoba is a gentle soul and loves to give and receive hugs.
