Saturdays: On Saturdays, Imaginate Youth takes place at Creativity Explored’s art studio and gallery in the Mission District of San Francisco. Students meet at Jefferson ATP to take vans together. Then, at 2:30, the vans head back to Jefferson. Creativity Explored’s studio is located at 3245 16th St, San Francisco, CA 94103.
What kind of art projects do students work on?
Projects include sewing, printmaking, felting, painting, found object sculpture, metal embossing, and so much more! Students are also encouraged to come up with goals and projects that motivate them to create. Teachers will demonstrate different tools, techniques, and art supplies, and encourage students to grow their creativity!
What should I bring?
Creativity Explored will provide all of the fun and necessary art supplies, but if there is anything specific you love to use, you can bring that. We also recommend bringing water and a snack.
What kind of staff support do students receive?
Imaginate Youth is led by art teachers from Creativity Explored who are there to support each artist in meeting their artistic goals for the session. Additionally, paraeducators from Jefferson ATP attend each session to support students, like they would during the school day.
