Join our team as the Youth and Community Programs Coordinator.

CE’s Youth and Community Programs Coordinator will help coordinate and implement arts programming for youth and young adults as part of CE’s new and growing Youth and Community Programs team. The Youth and Community Programs Coordinator will coordinate youth and TAY (Transition Aged Youth, 18-24 year olds) art programs, K–TAY school workshops, field trips, and professional development sessions. They will also support communication with families and schools, manage scheduling and supplies, and help develop and deliver inclusive arts education curriculum.

  • Full-time, nonexempt position: 40 hours 

  • In-person role in San Francsico

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in a related field such as education or fine arts

  • A strong connection with CE’s mission, including the ability to advocate for CE’s artists' self-identified needs

  • Two-plus years of teaching artist experience

  • One-plus year of education program coordination experience preferred

  • Comfortable working independently and with a team, with demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people

  • Highly organized and motivated

  • Creative thinker and problem solver with attention to detail

  • Demonstrated experience managing projects involving coordination between multiple business entities

  • Interest, enthusiasm, and affinity for Creativity Explored’s mission

  • Outstanding interpersonal and verbal communication skills

  • Enthusiasm to learn from and advocate for developmentally disabled people

  • Experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive) preferred

  • Access to a vehicle is preferred at least once a week, along with a valid US driver's license

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  • Complete and maintain CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (initial certification to be completed within 30 days of date of hire)

  • Workplace Harassment Training

  • Complete Creativity Explored staff training pertinent to the position's job responsibilities as assigned

OTHER INFORMATION 

The Youth and Community Programs Coordinator is a nonexempt, full-time position. Most work takes place during T–S business hours but may vary due to organizational needs with a hybrid schedule in place with this position requiring at least 80% of their time on site at one of our studios. Creativity Explored requires all staff to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination upon hire.
