Noah Schwartz is the President/CEO of the John Stewart Company (JSCo), a firm specializing in the development and management of affordable multi-family housing throughout California. JSCo is a mission-driven, for-profit corporation dedicated to serving people with the limited access to affordable housing opportunities. The company manages in excess of 30,000 housing units, has nearly $1B in their project pipeline, and is often the first firm called when highly regulated, affordable housing projects are in need of help.

Noah came to JSCo after nearly 20 years in the non-profit sector where he led the Monticello Area Community Action Agency, the Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority, and Community Services of Arizona. He has an undergraduate degree in anthropology and a master’s degree in history from the University of Connecticut. He is licensed as a Real Estate Broker in California.

Noah has served on many non-profit boards over the years, such as Charlottesville Area Dental Access and the Jefferson School Task Force, and has participated in a variety of volunteer activities across the country. In 2018, he became involved with Project Awareness and Special Sports (PASS), a non-profit that offers opportunities for children and young adults with developmental delays and learning differences to participate in local community-based sports leagues. Noah helps coach their basketball program each winter and has found it to not only be incredibly rewarding, but it’s also given him an opportunity to learn about that community and seek more ways to support it. That experience is what led him to Creativity Explored.

Noah doesn’t know much about art but believes in the value of empowerment, kindness, and community support and strives to bring that approach to his work, personal life, and the people and institutions he cares about.
