Sue Chan

1959 - 2017, Hong Kong CE artist from 1995 - 2011

Sue Chan mainly used permanent markers to create small, dense compositions. She worked rhythmically, building up fields of color with small dots or controlled lines. These concentrated areas grew into pastoral landscapes of figures engaged with landscapes. Chan also would depict domestic scenes of women and children surrounded by trees, vivid flowers, and luminescent skies. In addition to drawing, Chan has also worked in digital animation to chronicle her experiences and desires documented on the CE YouTube channel.
