Jason Lee

b. 1967, San Francisco, CA CE artist from 2000 - 2011

Jason Lee worked quietly through the day, focused on painting abstract areas of solid, bold color. Lee initially laid out the composition with graphic art tools (rulers, triangles, etc.) and outlined the areas with colored pencils. He then filled in the various shapes with color and added his name when finished. In 2006, Lee began working in our CE2 studio where he created 3D animals of papier-mâché.
