Fabricators

December 15, 2012
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Venue
Jack Fischer Gallery

Location
49 Geary, Suite 418, San Francisco, CA 94108

Fabricators is the culmination of a collaboration between five Creativity Explored artists (Camille Holvoet, Christina Marie Fong, Lance Rivers, Natalie Spring, and Thanh My Diep) and students in the Fabricators ENGAGE at CCA (California College of the Arts) class, taught by art critic, writer, curator, and educator Glen Helfand, and presented at Jack Fischer Gallery.

Working with CE artists and with assistance from IDEO, student teams “fabricated” new pieces for these artists. The resultant objects not only represent the partnerships these groups formed, but also serve to advance the vision of these five Creativity Explored artists, allowing them to introduce new materials, scales, and dimensions to their practices.

Student teams also developed affordable, giftable multiples—t-shirts, ornaments, jewelry, and kaleidoscopes– that will be available for purchases at the exhibition.

Opening reception for artists and Fabricators:
Saturday, December 15th, 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
