Calvin Bernard Snow’s art has somewhat similar psychedelic aims as the album art of the 1960’s, or the screens flashing at the Fillmore during a Grateful Dead show. These aims are a precise, but fluid, geometry and an intense electricity of color modulated by careful echoes of one another throughout the work.

His palette ranges from scorching neon to an introspective coolness. Occasionally, a recognizable scene from the natural world is given psychedelic treatment, but overall, Snow’s work translates interior states of feeling and thought into pure abstraction, which encourages the viewer to create the meaning of each piece on an individual basis.
