Lucinda Addison (b. 1990) joined the Creativity Explored in 2012. With a strong hand and bold graphite marks, Addison's line work mixes confidence with playfulness, creating strong, immediate images.
Addison dismantles the details of her source imagery, creating captivating compositions that isolate every person, animal and item from each other. This technique exposes the image’s content, showing us its essential qualities. Masterpieces get redefined in a brutal, yet highly personal, reserved and beautiful way. The colors are carefully chosen and applied with force. She works persistently through the day without interruption and with seemingly never-ending interest.
Addison's work has been featured in two exhibitions at Creativity Explored.
