We’re still reliving the fun we had at Art Changes Lives 2018! We want to thank the over 400 supporters - including 30 Creativity Explored artists - who joined us, raising over $300,000. It was the biggest night ever in our 35-year history!
Our new Color Mixer was a blast! Guests painted on sheets of chocolate supplied by Recchiuti Confections and took home their own colorful bars. Pablo Calderon, Creativity Explored artist since 2002, painted a bold, one-of-a-kind piece at the mixer that was auctioned off during dinner. Supporters used their mobile phones to compete for unique silent auction pieces by 60 Creativity Explored artists. A photo booth backdrop and props featuring art by Christina Marie Fong made for Instagrammable memories.
During dinner our video, featuring artists Isaac Haney-Owens, Yukari Sakura, and Melody Lima, brought the house down with a huge standing ovation for the artists. A friendly competition ensued over Lima’s The Creativity Explored Family, which depicts 93 CE community members and took over a year to complete.
Elana Cooper’s stunning piece, Untitled, was a highlight of the live auction, with the highest bid of the night. Cooper’s striking wooden flowers, displayed as centerpieces, were snatched up by guests throughout dinner.
