More than a dozen Creativity Explored artists have been busy working on 15 commissioned paintings and drawings for Avalon Bay Communities, Inc. These original artworks will be installed at Avalon’s new luxury residential community (Avalon at Mission Bay III) located at 353/383 King Street. The building was designed by Tom Eliot Fisch, and is scheduled to open this spring.

Two artists from our Arkansas Street studio, Melvin Geisenhofer and Diane Scaccalosi, are finishing work on very large and exciting paintings: a 7-foot-square canvas and a triptych with individual panels measuring 72” × 24”. The square-footage of beauty and warmth coming from these two painters is astounding, and we wanted to share a few photos of their process.

Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting commission. We’ll announce the grand opening reception for Avalon at Mission Bay III in the coming months, so you can see the amazing works created by CE artists when they are installed.
