Development Director
The Development Director is responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to meet Creativity Explored’s annual contributed income goals established in the organization’s Strategic and Fundraising Plans. Reporting to and in partnership with the Executive Director, the Development Director will spearhead development efforts as Creativity Explored’s Development Department continues to grow.
This position is responsible for developing and implementing the plans to meet FY11 fundraising goals of $300,000 (combination individual, corporate, and foundation giving). Primary focus in FY11 will be to acquire new donors in these three areas.
Applicants MUST meet the following selection criteria:
- BA required, MA a plus.
- At least five years of increasingly responsible development work in a nonprofit agency preferred.
- Demonstrated track record building and managing a successful and growing individual contributions program.
- Experience securing major gifts from institutional and individual donors and expanding relationships over time.
- Demonstrated experience managing all aspects of nonprofit fundraising events raising amounts greater than $50K.
Note: Position is a full-time exempt position with benefits including: health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, and vacation/sick/holiday leave. Salary is commensurate with experience.
