Steele Collection travels to Bay Area Discovery Museum

General News

Creativity Explored is proud to partner with the Bay Area Discovery Museum to display a selection of art created by CE studio artists from CE’s Steele Collection. This exhibition of visual art demonstrates to children how the ability to create art exists in all of us, and that beauty can come from unexpected places and can challenge our stereotypes.

The selection of work by CE studio artists complements the Bay Area Discovery Museum’s current special exhibition access/ABILITY, a highly interactive, yet sensitive disability awareness exhibit that delivers the message to children, parents and educators that as human beings, we are more alike than different. This unique exhibit presents people living with disabilities as participants in the world and features fun and engaging activities that show the similarities and differences in how each of us, with or without disabilities, go places, communicate, have fun, and learn. The art from Creativity Explored demonstrates that the visual arts can develop awareness of a person’s ability and worth within the broader community.
