Celebrities, Community Leaders and Colorful Characters from the City by the Bay Strike a Pose to Benefit Creativity Explored
The place to be on April 12, 2007 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm will be the 111 Minna Gallery where San Francisco’s finest will all be hanging out…on the walls, that is. Creativity Explored studio artists have, once again, created one-of-a-kind portraits of San Francisco luminaries that will be sold through a silent auction that night to benefit Creativity Explored.
The evening will be hosted by District Attorney Kamala Harris and will feature a special guest musical appearance by Jonathan Richman.
Creativity Explored artists have created unique portraits of more than 30 local celebrities including: Art Agnos, Isadora Alman, Ruth Asawa, Kenneth Baker, Ralph Carney, Jon Carroll, Victor Cartagena, Norman Fischer, Michael Franti, Tully Friedman, Stanlee Gatti, Wavy Gravy, Kamala Harris, Joanne Hayes-White, Jack Hirschman, Adam Hochschild, Maxine Hong-Kingston, Margaret Jenkins, Rhodessa Jones, Eiming Jung, Josh Kornbluth, John Lescroart, Beth Lisick, Vicki Marlane, Heather Marx, Quincy McCoy, Flicka McGurrin, Nish Nadaraja, Gavin Newsom, Nancy Oakes, Louise Renne, Jonathan Richman, Dennis Richmond, John Santos, Marcus Shelby, Melinda Randolph, Annie Sommerville, Tom Sweeney, Tony Taccone, Ayelet Waldman, Alice Waters, the Zodiac and more.
Participating CE artists include: Gordon Chin, Kelly Clark, Peter Cordova, Charles Cruz, Thanh Diep, David Fellom, Vernae Galleread, Steven Geeter, Nita Hicks, Vincent Jackson, Loren King, Walter Kresnick, Tonya Lewis, John Patrick McKenzie, Sara O’Sullivan, Theresa Perez, Thomas Pringle, Kevin Roach, Quintin Rodriquez, Gordon Shepard, Douglas Sheran, and Doris Yen.
Several of the city’s notable restaurants will donate food for this one-of-a-kind event and you’ll be able to sample some of San Francisco’s finest food. Food will be provided by Andalu, Bi-Rite Market, Boogaloos, Columbus Salame, Dining In, Liberty Cafe, Dan Ripley Catering, Samovar Tea Lounge, Spiazzo Caffe, Slanted Door, Soluna, Tartine, Yo Yo Restaurant and others.
