Fears of Your Life at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts February 23-25
General News
Kim Epifano’s Epiphany Productions in collaboration with AXIS Dance Company and Creativity Explored present the world premiere of FEARS OF YOUR LIFE.
Monsters, speeding bus drivers, hugs from someone you don’t like — these are some of the more than 150 fears that stalk the stage in Director/Choreographer Kim Epifano’s new work presented by Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Forum. Inspired by the book of the same title by Creativity Explored artist Michael Bernard Loggins, Fears of Your Life explores the serious and often humorous things that scare each of us. The acclaimed AXIS Dance Company, integrating dancers with and without disabilities, performs the work on a stage that is transformed by Loggins’ distinctive drawings into a vibrant and interactive world of art and animation, puppets and poetry. This utterly whimsical performance delights people of all ages.
Don’t miss this chance to see Loggins’ popular book danced to life on stage! Hardbound editions of Fears of Your Life, published by Manic D Press, are available now online, at Creativity Explored, 3245 16th Street, and at YBCA during the performances.
This project was funded by Creative Work Fund.
