Michael Bernard Loggins’ artwork illustrates the newest Matmos CD release, The Rose Has Teeth In The Mouth Of The Beast. “Rose” is a collection of musical portraits of ten people they admire, including Ludwig Wittgenstein, William S. Burroughs, and Valerie Salaris. Matmos commissioned ten visual artists to create portraits of their subjects, and Loggins’ line drawing illustrates the sonic portrait of Darby Crash of The Germs. Bloggers agree, the art is impressive and “to die for”.
