“Life Itself” to screen at SF Public Library, SF Poet Laureate to chat with CE author

“Life Itself,” a documentary film by CE instructors Francis Kohler and Todd Herman will screen at the Koret Auditorium, San Francisco Public Libary on Wednesday, October 13, 2004. Following “Life Itself”, Poet Laureate devorah major and Michael Bernard Loggins, Creativity Explored artist and author of “Fears of Your Life,” will discuss their work, their inspiration, and life itself.

“Life Itself” profiles the lives of three CE studio artists: Michael Bernard Loggins, Sue Chan and Allura Fong. The film is an eye opening journey through these artists’ experiences, emotions and imaginations. To learn more about the film, please visit Lifelike Films.

devorah major became the third Poet Laureate of San Francisco in April of 2002. Her poetry books include “street smarts” (Curbstone Press, 1996) and “where river meets ocean” (City Lights Publishing, 2003). She is the author of two published novels, “An Open Weave” (Seal Press, 1995) and “Brown Glass Windows” (Curbstone Press, 2002). Her poems, short stories, and essays are available in a number of magazines and anthologies. She has taught poetry and creative writing as community artist-in-residence and/or college lecturer for over twenty years.
