CE Director joins KQED Forum panel on disability culture

Amy Taub, Executive Director, joined Michael Krasny and three other panelists yesterday on KQED Forum to discuss the Culture of Disability, its past, its present, and its future.
Other guests:
* John Killacky, co-editor of “Queer Crips: Disabled Gay Men and Their Stories” and program officer for Arts and Culture at the San Francisco Foundation
* Deborah Kaplan, executive director at the World Institute on disability
* Judy Smith, artistic director of Axis, a professional contemporary dance company comprised of dancers with and without physical disabilities
Forum lasts about an hour. During the first half hour, panelists discuss issues of cultural identity, and during the second half hour listeners call in to ask questions and join the discussion. Culture of Disability aired on April 1, and can be accessed in the archived programs.
