Con·tex·tu·al, Creativity Explored’s current gallery text-based art exhibtion was a featured Art ePick in the San Francisco Chronicle’s online edition, SF Gate. According to the review by Alison Bing, “If a Beatnik poet was ever given creative license with the words on a marquee, the result might be something like Laron Bickerstaff’s wild wordplay, where ‘You’re Zipper My Breakfast with Blassie Arab Film Festival Now Penny Man Now Appearing Business Other’ glows in turquoise letters against a neon-red background. Even after you manage to tear yourself away from this work and this show, you’ll find words still frolicking in your mouth and tripping off your tongue with riotous joy.”
If you have not yet seen the exhibition, it runs through the end of the week.
