Creativity Explored welcomed Masami Yamamoto and Junko Kamata from Japan to our studios to begin a collaborative artmaking project involving CE member artists and artists from Oakland based Creative Growth Art Center. Yamamoto, project coordinator, will be working with both art centers for the duration of the project. Kamata, printmaker and visiting art instructor, will be working with member artists in our studios through April. At the end of March, we will welcome visiting art instructor Kenji Koyasu who will work with member artists at Creativity Explored II through April.
Works created as part of the collaboration will be featured in April exhibitions, curated by Yamamoto, at both centers. More information about the exhibitions will be posted on this site soon.
