“It’s like walking into a diamond mine!”
— Arts patron at the June 27 opening
This simple expression nicely sums up the Creativity Explored gallery and studio as experienced by people attending our opening reception on June 27. We enjoyed seeing our old friends again and meeting a number of people for the first time. It was a truly magical evening.
With each opening it becomes more obvious Creativity Explored is becoming a larger presence in the Bay Area arts community. The room was packed and sales of member artwork were high. While we could not be more happy with these developments, it is important to remember that donations provide the ongoing support that sustains our operations. Thanks to your generous contributions in the past, we were able to buy new chairs for both CE studios last month. A quick glance at this issue’s wish list will show you how your future contributions may be used. Thank you all!
Like other arts organizations, we are looking closely at what we are doing and how we are doing it. We feel it is critical that we continue to ensure disability is a visible part of the diverse arts community we are proud of in the Bay Area. If you have any ideas about how we can improve what we’re doing, please let us know. We’ve had some good suggestions from our friends and supporters, and look forward to hearing from you.
And as you’d expect from us, some wonderful exhibitions are scheduled for upcoming months, so be sure to mark your calendar and join us in celebrating great art!
