Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 15, and plan to attend what is a sure-to-be-stellar event at Foreign Cinema, the Mission District’s hot spot for food and film. For 25 years, Creativity Explored’s artists have enhanced our community and made significant contributions to the Bay Area arts scene. In celebration of their sterling achievements, and in honor of co-founders Florence Ludins-Katz and Elias Katz, Ph.D., we are throwing a silver soiree! The event will feature:

• Mistress of Ceremonies
  Peaches Christ, San Francisco’s popular impressario, film-obsessed maven of the silver screen, and longtime fan of Creativity Explored
• On the Silver Screen
  See selected scenes from Ben Wu’s 2007 Academy Award-winning student documentary “Cross Your Eyes, Keep them Wide” featuring the artists of Creativity Explored.
• Spectacular Auction Items
  Bid on an array of luxury items and exceptional artworks by our studio artists, as well as by nationally-known artists who have a special connection with Creativity Explored.
• Extraordinary Entertainment
  Live music by The Baguette Duet (Parisian cafe’ music), Chris Leone and the Spurs of the Moment (western swing and cowboy music — think Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Bob Wills), plus special performances by surprise guests!
• Award-Winning Food and Libations
  Signature Foreign Cinema appetizers and culinary treats from the chefs, plus wine, champagne, beer, specialty cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Creative silver attire encouraged.

Tickets

• Tickets are $100 through May 14, and $125 the day of the event. We encourage you to purchase tickets in advance!

• Tickets purchased through May 10 will be mailed to you; tickets purchased after May 10 can be picked up at the will-call window at the event.

A portion of the ticket price is tax deductible.

Parking

• Street parking (meters free after 6 pm)
• Public parking is available behind Foreign Cinema at the New Mission Bartlett Garage (90 Bartlett Street) at 21st Street.
• Another parking lot is located at 2379 Mission Street between 19th and 20th Streets (between Bruno’s and Cha-Cha-Cha).

Public Transportation

• MUNI: 14 Mission bus
• BART: 16th or 24th Street stations
