We are pleased to announce that Ester Hernandez is a recipient of a 2004 Community Leadership award from the San Francisco Foundation.

The San Francisco Foundation Community Leadership Awards recognize individuals and organizations whose leadership has made a significant impact in their particular Bay Area community. Ester was recognzed for fostering community and raising social consciousness through her groundbreaking art, for her work with Creativity Explored, and for inspiring and mentoring the next generation of artists. Ester has been an art instructor at Creativity Explored for seventeen years and we are delighted she has been honored in this manner.

We invite you to join us at the San Francisco Foundation reception to honor Ester on Tuesday, September 28 at the Herbst Theater, War Memorial Veterans Building, on Van Ness between Grove and McAllister Streets. The reception is from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, and the awards ceremony begins promptly at 6:45 pm.
