Jesus Huezo (b. 1993, San Francisco, CA) joined the Creativity Explored studio in 2015. In his signature colored pencil drawings on paper, Huezo brings his favorite video game characters to life.
Huezo is particularly influenced by Disney Infinity, an action-adventure sandbox video game with characters from Disney, Star Wars, and Marvel. For the exhibition Tabula Rasa, on view at Creativity Explored March 3 through April 13, 2016, Huezo made a large-scale drawing of one of his favorite characters, Ahsoka Tano. Ahsoka Tano is the protagonist in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and a supporting character in Star Wars Rebels.
In 2016, Huezo started to explore sculpture and papier-mâché creating a series of foods like tamales and a chili pepper.
