Rick Johanson’s Board Super Power!

Creativity Explored has 7 new Board members! This year we’ll be highlighting the super powers and experience they’re bringing to Creativity Explored to help us reach our goals. Meet the seventh in our series: Rick Johanson!

About Rick Johanson: Rick Johanson is currently the CEO and Co-founder of Sock, a fintech startup based in the Bay Area. Prior to building Sock, Rick drove UX operations and design strategy initiatives at Google where he led several partnerships and UX corporate development efforts. He is an active startup investor and advisor for early stage companies in edtech, fintech, Web3, AI, and more. His first introduction to CE and love for art was inspired by his brother and contemporary artist, Chris Johanson.

Why Rick Joined CE’s Board: “The mission of Creativity Explored is impossible to not stand behind. I've had an indirect and long-standing relationship with CE through my family and close friends that grew my aspirations to join the board. It's been a privilege to work alongside a selfless group of folks that believe art is a human right.”

Rick’s Favorite CE Artist:  “I've loved the work of Doris Yen and her beautifully illustrated anatomical hearts. One of the best gifts I've ever received was a set of Doris Yen pillows. <3.”

Rick’s Super Power: Rick’s extensive experience in the tech world will help Creativity Explored connect with innovators who want to support CE’s artists’ reaching new audiences.
