Ten Creativity Explored artists are included in Faces, a show themed around portraiture at the Jack Fischer Gallery. The exhibit also includes work by Creative Growth and National Institute of Art and Disabilities (NIAD) artists.

Responses to the human face take shape in a variety of media and form including Charlie Barthelet’s yarn sculptures, animated line drawings by Walter Kresnik and James Miles, plus Camille Holvoet’s wacky expressions. Bertha Otoya and Thomas Pringle use maps as the backdrop for their figures, some of which are in flight. Other CE artists include Peter CordovaCharles Cruz, Daniel Green, and Selene Perez.

This show is timed to coincide with the presentation of Create, the major survey exhibition of work from Creativity Explored, Creative Growth, and NIAD. Create will be on view at the UC Berkeley Art Museum, May 11 through September 25, 2011.
