Location
San Francisco, CA

Artwork by Nita Hicks © 2004 Creativity Explored.

Studio artists honor departed friends and reflect on life, death, and the great hereafter in a special Day of the Dead exhibition, Spirits and Saints. The exhibition features a number of stunning images of both known and imagined spirits and saints such as Nita Hicks' portrait of a black Madonna and Emma Reyes' animal and human spirits. Artist Camille Holvoet gives thanks with the painting Jesus and the Miracle Pills Birthday Cake. A large group altar in the window of the gallery pays tribute to Creativity Explored artists who have died. Artists exhibiting work include Betty Benard, Robert Margolis, John Patrick McKenzie, and Yolanda Ramirez.
