We're excited to participate in the annual ArtSpan Open Studios in San Francisco. To celebrate, Creativity Explored will be open for extended hours on October 26 & 27 (Saturday & Sunday) from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for Weekend 3.

This years' featured Creativity Explored artist is Andrew Li. During the Open Studios, we will offer a unique opportunity to see and shop for new and previously exhibited work by Li -- including framed artwork!

Li participated in an epic mural project organized by ArtSpan in 2018 at the new Salesforce Transit Center. His mural is still on display until the space is leased for retail. Next time you're downtown go take in his bustling vision of San Francisco. Read more about the mural and location here.

Just like any other day at Creativity Explored, visitors are invited to explore the studio and shop for art by over 130 artists with developmental disabilities and enjoy the current exhibition in the gallery, Fragments + Resistance.

On Saturday, October 26 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, we'll be hosting our regular free public artmaking program with CE artists, Imaginate Saturdays. Join Creativity Explored for a day of art appreciation and creation!

Drop by the CE gallery to pick up your own copy of ArtSpan's Annual Open Studios guidebook. You can view all events and participants, plus the online map and guidebook here.

Join us for the opening reception of Big Bellies at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco (JCCSF), Katz Snyder Gallery.

Big Bellies celebrates food at large, a popular subject at the Creativity Explored studios. This expansive collection sparks a larger conversation around cultural identity, family traditions, class, and nourishment.

Playing off the theme of artistic beauty in food, Big Bellies features work by 18 Creativity Explored artists who include food as visual or conceptual elements.

From quintessential desserts to arrays of fruits and vegetables, from hyper-processed packaged food to simple bowls of rice, the representation of food in Big Bellies goes beyond classical still-life, the food items are more than metaphorical messages, but reflections on identity and tradition.

A visually finger-licking adventure, Big Bellies provokes the senses and tempts visitors to
expand their aesthetic diet.
