Art Supplies, Equipment, & Goods
People in the community have been very generous and have donated all sorts of found objects — odds and ends of just about everything, as well as some things we could not identify! We appreciate you thinking of us and donating some wonderful “junk” that turns into a fabulous piece of art!
We have listed some items below that we can use — and really appreciate — and some stuff we are unable to accept. If you are thinking about making a donation, please check the list below or call to see if it’s something we can use.
What We Take
- nontoxic paints and inks
- brushes
- canvas
- frames that are sturdy and in good shape
- heavyweight paper
- matte board
- string, yarn, and large fabric scraps
- windows with wood frames that are in good shape
- plywood in good shape (layers intact, not warped)
- fiberboard and press board
- foam core
- wood pieces (trim ends longer than 8”)
- assorted tiles (no more than one box of the same color)
- heavyweight wallpaper
- adhesive vinyl sheets
- babyfood jars
- healthy snacks (wrapped and sealed) for studio artists
- Mac computers and compatible peripherals that are less than three years old (G5s and G4s — no G3s, please!)
What We Don’t Take
- house paint of any type
- toxic materials of any kind, including paints
- glazes containing lead
- fabric trim scraps
- glass (except in wood-framed windows)
- small wood scraps (less than 8” long)
- styrofoam packing materials
- tires
- hangers
- magazines
- greeting cards
