Art Supplies, Equipment, & Goods

People in the community have been very generous and have donated all sorts of found objects — odds and ends of just about everything, as well as some things we could not identify! We appreciate you thinking of us and donating some wonderful “junk” that turns into a fabulous piece of art!

We have listed some items below that we can use — and really appreciate — and some stuff we are unable to accept. If you are thinking about making a donation, please check the list below or call to see if it’s something we can use.

What We Take

  • nontoxic paints and inks
  • brushes
  • canvas
  • frames that are sturdy and in good shape
  • heavyweight paper
  • matte board
  • string, yarn, and large fabric scraps
  • windows with wood frames that are in good shape
  • plywood in good shape (layers intact, not warped)
  • fiberboard and press board
  • foam core
  • wood pieces (trim ends longer than 8”)
  • assorted tiles (no more than one box of the same color)
  • heavyweight wallpaper
  • adhesive vinyl sheets
  • babyfood jars
  • healthy snacks (wrapped and sealed) for studio artists
  • Mac computers and compatible peripherals that are less than three years old (G5s and G4s — no G3s, please!)

What We Don’t Take

  • house paint of any type
  • toxic materials of any kind, including paints
  • glazes containing lead
  • fabric trim scraps
  • glass (except in wood-framed windows)
  • small wood scraps (less than 8” long)
  • styrofoam packing materials
  • tires
  • hangers
  • magazines
  • greeting cards

Our Wish List

Here is a list of supplies and equipment we currently need:

  • television (25” screen or larger)
