Calderon: Nine Years in the Making
Opens January 12 through February 29

Enigmatic faces, elegant bicycles, and aerial views of trucks are the most beloved subjects of El Salvadorian-born painter Pablo Calderon. Grand examples of each on canvas and paper will comprise this colorful solo show, his first during his nine-year tenure at Creativity Explored. Curated by Paul Moshammer and Kelley Kerslake

Parallel Visions
Opens March 8 through April 25
 

A visual dialogue between artists from Creativity Explored and five art and disability programs from around the world:
GATEWAY ARTS BOSTON / HAI NEW YORK / LA HESSE BELGIUM / PROJECT ABILITY SCOTLAND / PROJECT ONWARD CHICAGO

Works on view will include a range of artwork, from figurative ink drawings to abstract pieces that emphasize unique marking practices. Curated by Eric Larson and Amy Taub

Are We There Yet?
Opens May 3 through June 13

Transportation is a subject that excites many Creativity Explored artists. Lance Rivers has a long-standing infatuation with bridges, trains and subways, Eva Jun creates images depicting solitary police cars and ambulances, and Andrew Li depicts groups of people traveling on foot, by bicycle, car, and bus. This show is a delightful survey of planes, trains, and automobiles of all shapes, colors, and styles that coincides with the 75^th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge. Curated by Larry Morace

Dress up and get down! This group exhibition celebrates fashion, fame, identity, and queer culture with wonderfully unique artworks and knock-your-socks-off performances opening during San Francisco PRIDE week.

Out of Order
Opens August 9 through September 26
 
A number of Creativity Explored artists use unique systems to explore the continuum between order and disorder. This exhibition includes work by some artists who have created their own systems for organizing and categorizing.  Other works reflect adaptation of existing systems such as geometry and language, or inspiration from source material, i.e., maps and medical illustrations. Curated by Leeza Doriean and Gail Dawson
