Posted on September 28, 2017

Christina Marie Fong has a big heart and a big presence in the CE studio. Below are her comments on her creative process.

(1) When I make she-monsters, I just do it for fun, and it just brings out the monster in me.”

(2) “I guess, you know, when you look at monsters, they give you the creeps, but they’re just monsters. They bring out the creature in me, the creature in all of us.”

(3) “Ok, I’ll give you a tip. Okay, Eminem would be my first, love crazy boy Eminem. Marshall C. Mathers. And the other one would be Snoop Doogggg. Fifty Centtttttt. Dr. Dre. Outkast. Jay-Z. (4) “I’m finishing working on those dead doll heads for Bride of Monster [opening October 5!]. I just like to be funny and have a sense of humor, have people laughing at me. We just like family here. I get along with everybody. I treat everybody like they’re my sister or brother, like family.  What makes me most happy? Here! I love everybody. And everybody loves Christina! Yes indeedy! Lookin so pretty! Yup! Yup! Yup!”

(5) “I was born and raised in Maui, HI, and I came out here when I was 13. I’ve lived in San Francisco for 25 years. Oh, it’s fun! I was a supermodel back in the ‘80s when I first came here. ‘79, ‘80, that was a long time ago. I went to Barbizon modeling school for about 20 years and then John Power Roberts for 10 years. Not modeling right now, but I’m thinking about going back, maybe in another 10 years. Don’t worry -- I’ll be a supermodel again!”

(6) “You want me to be honest with you about what I don’t like doing? I don’t like working with clay. Um, wood, nah, no wood, No wood, no clay, Ceramics no, Glass no. Plastic, no. I like to use markers, colored pencils, crayons, paint pens, and paint. [Subjects?] Celebrities... I do animals. I do hip-hop, rap music... I listen to pop, classical, Hawaiian music, Filipino music, soul.... I dance to Hawaiian music once in awhile, and every now and then I do Filipino dancing.”

(7) “Work hard, don’t fool around, get to the nitty gritty and the nasty part, and get busy and get things done, and get crackin, get poppin, and don’t give up your dream. And kick butt too!”
