What makes San Francisco one of the greatest cities in the world?

Self-expression. Diversity. Generosity. Creativity Explored!

Our ever-evolving city has been strengthened by people from many places—people with differing perspectives and even more ways of expressing them. Here self-expression is acknowledged as a basic human right, whether we write letters to the editor, sing songs on the corner, pen poems, develop innovative business models, or paint an original work of art. This is the heart and soul of San Francisco, and of Creativity Explored.

For more than 30 years, Creativity Explored has embodied San Francisco’s diversity and vigorously supported self-expression. We provide instruction, materials, studio spaces, a gallery, and international promotional opportunities for 135 artists with developmental disabilities to communicate through art.

Creativity Explored is a unique community that nurtures deep friendships and enduring connections. Studio artists and their work offer an uncommon lens through which to see our city and inspire us to unleash our own creativity.

Without this community, most Creativity Explored artists would not be able to create, promote or sell their art. Without supporters like you, we would not be able to keep our doors open. I’m asking you to make a donation to Creativity Explored today!

Your contribution will help ensure the voices of our artists continue to be a necessary and vital part of the San Francisco arts community, and beyond. Your tax-deductible gift will help us meet our basic expenses, AND:
     • Support artists to start their own businesses
     • Offer workshops so you can create art alongside our artists
     • Expand the artist-in-residence program

Thanks to people like you, Creativity Explored will continue to thrive and be a point of pride and joy in our city.

Please donate to Creativity Explored today. Art changes lives. You can too.

Warmly,
Amy Taub
Executive Director

P.S.  When you donate by December 2, you’ll be invited to the Annual Holiday Art Sale Donor Preview on Thursday, December 3 with early access to great art! Your donor benefits continue through 2016, including an invitation to Andrew Li’s solo exhibition on January 14.

When I make art, it makes me feel good because it's just right. Creativity Explored artist Yolanda Ramirez.

When people by my art, I can buy more stuff. It's great if people also come to see me in person. Creativity Explored artist Merna Lum.
I like when people buy my art because I want people to know who I am. Creativity Explored artist Antonio Benjamin.
Pretty cool to see my drawings on chocolates. I never thought my art would go that far. I am very proud! Creativity Explored artist Kevin Roach.
