In preparation for our annual benefit event on June 6th, several CE staff and volunteers spent a recent Sunday afternoon at our Arkansas St. studio silk screening fabric panels to help transform our building into a new version of its original incarnation, Findlay's Dancehall. Amy, Nicole, Anne, and Amy led the staff efforts, while Estee, Robin, and Pam helped out as volunteers. Anne's dog Bruno gave aesthetic advice and moral support. The panels were printed with screens made by CE artists Melody Lima, Micheal Bernard Loggins, Gerald Wiggins, Betty Benard, Thanh Diep, and Sara O'Sullivan. The imagery ranges from feathers, flowers, and bees, classic Victorian patterns, and text. These should create just the right ambiance for a little modern burlesque.
