CE responds to COVID-19 (coronavirus)

Posted on March 16, 2020

Updated March 30, 2020 (3:00 pm, PST)

Dear Artists, Families and Caregivers, and the CE community,

We at Creativity Explored have made the difficult decision to close Creativity Explored for to help stop the spread of coronavirus and protect artists and staff. Like our local schools and fellow arts organizations, we are supporting social distancing to help slow the spread of the virus.

We will be closed from through at least May 3. We will continue to assess the situation as it evolves.

Here and here are guidelines for protecting yourself and your loved ones during this difficult time.

We are saddened by the need to suspend the work of our wonderful community of artists, and are actively seeking ways to stay in touch and help our artists continue their work during this time. Even during the closure our staff will continue to work to support our artists and plan for the future.

We will stay in touch with you to offer updates. You can also check Facebook, Instagram, and our website for news. Visit here to learn about ways you can support CE and our artists during the closure.

Best,
Linda Johnson, Executive Director

Art Changes Lives 2020

We have made the difficult decision to postpone Art Changes Lives 2020 indefinitely. While we were eagerly looking forward to celebrating with you and over 450 community members and CE artists on April 17th, we feel this is the best decision to ensure the safety and health of our artists, guests, volunteers and staff. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in the future.

If you were planning on attending the event, there are still many ways you can support Creativity Explored.

  1. Can’t raise a paddle during the fund-a-need? Make an online donation from the comfort of your own home

  2. Won’t be able to ignite that bidding war during the live auction? Donate to Creativity Explored via Benevity and challenge your friends to do the same. Benevity will match each gift dollar for dollar up to $300,000.

  3. Don’t want to miss seeing some of the best artwork in town? Follow Creativity Explored on Instagram for your own private exhibition. Have some of your own artwork to share? Tag @creativityexplored when posting your own CE collection.

  4. Too busy preparing to shelter at home to figure out what we mean by “creative cocktail attire”? Select Creativity Explored when shopping on Amazon Smile for your home needs and other purchases.
