Steven Geeter

Steven Geeter was born in 1953, and is a San Francisco native. He created art at Creativity Explored from 2003 until 2008.

Geeter worked with a variety of materials and was always exploring new techniques and media. He tended toward using colored pencils and watercolor. His innate sense of line and form were evident in his subtly powerful portraits and other representational works. The figures in his drawings and paintings with their elongated necks, narrow shoulders, and larger heads, were reminiscent of Modigliani.

His work was selected to be included in the 2004 collection of notecards. Geeter also has had success painting portraits on wood, which were then cut out into three-dimensional works.
