Raymond Tingley was born in 1931 in California. He worked at Creativity Explored for ten years from 1988 to 2008.
Tingley works with pastels, pencils, acrylic and watercolor, often turning his drawings into collage. Tingley’s work currently takes one of two forms: geometrical designs that he repeats over a flat surface, or large figures executed on windows, cardboard or canvas. Working with acrylic, tempera and pastel, the geometric designs he creates are patterns reminiscent of mandalas or life circles.
