Musette Perkins

Musette Perkins (b. 1982, San Francisco, CA) joined the Creativity Explored studio in 2001. Perkins’ clean-lined drawings depict familiar symbols and icons in a realistic style.

She repeats images in complex patterns that fill the picture plane. She also likes to incorporate text into her drawings and paintings, often prose or poetry that she finds interesting. Usually leaving the background paper white, she uses primarily purples and pinks to outline her images.

More recently, Perkins has enjoyed working on group collages and textile pieces, combining her own small-scale works with those of other artists.

Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions at Creativity Explored.
