Creativity Explored

Ian Adams

San Francisco native Ian Adams (b. 1990) joined the Creativity Explored studio in 2012. Adams is an intuitive artist who draws his inspiration primarily from architecture, like the bridges he sees in the Bay Area, and animals, both real and mythological.

Gouache is Adams’ current medium of choice, but he is always enthusiastic about trying new approaches to making art as his practice develops. Such explorations into materials, as well as images, also give his work surprising qualities that arise through his appreciation of chance.

In 2013, Adams was featured in Outsider Artists, at the Oakland International Airport.
