Heidi Hennessy

Heidi Hennessy was born in 1955, and has worked at Creativity Explored since 1983. She creates detailed pencil drawings combined with painted washes of color. Hennessy is fascinated by objects in motion; for example, she has frequently used sailboats and horses as a motif repeated in one composition.
Hennessy works both from selected images and from her imagination. She creates highly detailed scenes with a lot of activity. In addition to drawing scenes based in nature and the outdoors, she is also inspired by science fiction. Hennessy has painted Dr. Spock as well as planets, stars, and crafts in outer space.
