Alan Ku

Alan Ku (b. 1985) worked at Creativity Explored from 2007 through 2011. He is a painter who appropriates images from art history to create his own unique visions.

Ku’s preferred medium is watercolor, which he uses to create delicate and mysterious narratives. He depicts human figures interacting in ambiguous ways. Ku’s meticulously-rendered scenes offer an unusual view of people’s relationships with each other and their surroundings.

In 2015, CB2 selected Ku's artwork "Hong Kong" to adorn a pillow. His work was included in numerous exhibitions at Creativity Explored.
