Vernae Gallaread

Vernae Gallaread was born in San Francisco in 1980 and has been an artist in the Creativity Explored studio since 2003.

Always enthusiastic to try new media, Gallaread is hesitant to choose a favorite, though recently she has gravitated toward textile art. Gallaread makes representational works, her bold line drawings and lush paintings usually depicting people. According to Gallaread, she prefers this subject matter “because I’m a people person”. When she is not making art in the Creativity Explored studio, she enjoys bowling and taking long walks around San Francisco.
