Peter Cordova

Peter Cordova was born in the Philippines in 1966. He has been working at Creativity Explored since 1996.

Cordova often uses marker and acrylic or watercolor to depict images from his memory of growing up in the Philippines which he combines with scenes from his imagination. Cordova also has an abiding interest in Native American culture and often creates detailed imagery, accompanied by explanatory text, of various aspects of this vanishing way of life. He uses lines of varying weight to outline the objects and figures in his complex compositions, and gravitates toward earth tones when adding color.

Cordova also works with ceramics, carefully etching lines into his clay forms, which echo the line quality found in his drawings. He is a prolific artist and is very involved in marketing his work to gallery patrons.
