Jose Nunez

Jose Nunez was born in 1945 in El Salvador. He has been an artist at Creativity Explored since 1993.

Nunez utilizes mainly marker and paint to create his well-known iconography of amorphous human figures, birds, and some greenery — all things from his beloved El Salvador.Nunez’s expressive black lines typically fill the entire picture plane resulting in graphically strong compositions. After completing each lyrical line drawing, Nunez often adds hints of color to punctuate the flora and fauna. Recently, he has been experimenting with new media, painting on windows, shelving, and large canvases.
