Gordon Chin

Gordon Chin was born in 1962 and is of Chinese descent. He joined Creativity Explored in 2005 and is currently busy experimenting with the many mediums offered at CE.

He enjoys collage and working with markers. Images that are frequently present in his work include trees, flowers, and stars; and he will often use text in his work as well. In 2006, Chin began a card period and has produced hundreds of iconic greeting cards. Most have a small image on the front accompanied by a curious phrase, and are finished with a wash of watercolor.

Chin’s card images translate well to other formats and CE produced a t-shirt with nine of his drawings of donuts. Aside from donuts, Gordon’s other favorite foods like pizza and ice cream often appear in his work.
