Daniel Green

A San Francisco native, Daniel Green was born in 1985 and is one of the youngest artists in the Creativity Explored studio. He recently graduated from Mission High School, and began working in the studio on a full-time basis in January 2008.

The repetition of dates and names from TV shows and movies throughout his artwork converys Green’s fascination with American entertainment. Typically working on wood, he draws in ink with a cartoon-influenced style and then carefully lists associated dates and titles in black marker, creating obsessive homages to pop culture.

His work has a folk art bent but is unique in terms of subject matter as an impressive visual display of his memory. Green also loves to sing and accordingly has a vast repertoire of memorized songs.
