Pilar Olabarria

Visual Arts Instructor & Service Coordinator

Pilar Olabarria holds an MA in Conceptual Art, an MFA in Installation and Performance Art, and a Post Graduate degree in Art Therapy. Pilar is interested in mixed media art, mostly installation and performance, and recently developed a great interest in painting with oils. She has received artist’s grants from Capp Street, New Langton Arts, and the San Francisco Art Commission. She currently teaches art in three locations: Creativity Explored, Napa State Psychiatric Hospital, and Vacaville Correctional Medical Facility.

Pilar has been an instructor at Creativity Explored since 1984. She assumed the position of Service Coordinator in 2005.
